
Surgery Checklist
BEFORE
- Friendly knowledgeable staff to help with your questions and setting appointment
Arrive for Check in between
7 and 8 AM. - NO food or water for your pet after 9 PM the night before.
- Our staff will perform a physical exam and be sure pets are healthy enough for surgery.
- Our knowledgeable staff will alert you if pet needs further medical workup after reviewing medical records and/or if pet needs updated on vaccine or testing.
- If you have vaccines, previous test results or medical history please bring it with you.
- ALL PETS MUST BE LEASHED OR CRATED for their safety and the safety of other patients.
DURING
- Pets are kept in clean, safe environment before during and after surgery.
- Each pet has its own freshly sterilized surgical pack for surgery.
- Highly skilled, kind and compassionate professional staff monitoring patient before during and after surgery.
- Surgery by an extremely proficient and experienced surgeon for rapid recovery.
- We have the best surgical equipment, instruments, new anesthesia machines, surgical monitoring equipment and the best professional staff that is experienced at high quality and high volume spay neuter services for pets.
AFTER
- To go home instructions for your pet…post them on fridge!
- Pain Medication* is available for your pet.
- E collars available for the obsessive compulsive incision licker!
- Follow up care as needed at Steel Valley Spay Neuter Clinic.
- We use dissolvable stitches so no stitch removal is needed.
- Easy scheduling of booster vaccine appointments.
