The Who

Dr. Suzanne Wilcox, a lifelong valley resident, is a 1994 graduate of THE Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Since starting SVSNC in 2007, she has spayed or neutered over 65,000 pets!

Dr. Wilcox continues to participate yearly in continuing education classes in veterinary medicine. She has over 300 hours in shelter medicine and management. She has also completed classes and training in minimally invasive surgery and pediatric spay-neuters.

She and her staff also routinely participate in continuing education opportunities on new products and medicine to help animals.

Dr. Wilcox volunteers and assists with reputable charitable organizations. She started her own nonprofit, Steel Valley Woofstock, in order to create a legacy, but also to be able to help smaller rescues and shelters that do a fantastic job helping animals, but sometimes need assistance. She also wanted to have a resource to get grants to assist with low-cost spay and neuter programs for the community. There are also times assistance is needed for humane crisis cases and community crisis cases that Woofstock has been able to help with.

When Dr. Wilcox is not at work, she enjoys her horses, dogs, and extensive flower gardens. She also enjoys listening to music and attending concerts.
