Advanced In-House Diagnostics: The Vetscan Imagyst®
Steel Valley Spay Neuter Clinic is proud to have been the first veterinary practice in Trumbull County to integrate the Vetscan Imagyst® — the world's most capable AI-powered veterinary diagnostic analyzer.
This cutting-edge, seven-in-one diagnostic system utilizes artificial intelligence to scan microscope slides with exceptional accuracy, providing high-definition imaging and point-of-care results across a wide range of diagnostic applications, including:
- Fecal parasite analysis — including detection of difficult-to-identify organisms such as Giardia
- Equine fecal analysis
- AI-assisted blood smear evaluation
- Urine sediment analysis
- Dermatology
- Mass evaluation and digital cytology
The Imagyst is capable of processing samples across multiple species, delivering rapid, reliable results directly at the point of care. When further evaluation is warranted, samples can be submitted to a board-certified veterinary pathologist, with results returned in as little as a few hours — and no longer than one business day.

We have the Vetscan VS2 Chemistry Profile, which allows us to perform in-house blood chemistry in under 15 minutes with 12 different chemistry profiles available for pre-surgical blood work, wellness checks, and geriatric profiles.
